Why I Coach: From Setback to Strength
Like many others, I’ve faced seasons of struggle. One of the most defining was being diagnosed with a rare tumor wrapped around my spine. The surgery left me with titanium rods and pins from C3 to C6. The road to recovery was long and humbling, but also transformative. It taught me something essential: we don’t heal alone, and we don’t become our strongest selves by chance.
This journey showed me how our workouts, mindset, and daily habits must evolve with age. We lose muscle mass, deal with injuries, and adapt to a new normal. But we can still thrive. I’ve made it my mission to walk alongside others navigating this chapter, especially those who are ready to fight for their vitality and strength at any age.
What I Bring to the Table
I’m not just a coach. I’m someone who lives this lifestyle every day and knows what it takes to stay strong and adaptable. Here’s a look at my background:
· Triathlete: With over 90 triathlons completed, from sprint to Ironman distances, I’ve tested the limits of physical endurance and gained deep insights into what the human body can accomplish with the right mindset.
· Functional Fitness Advocate: Over a decade ago, I discovered CrossFit and the importance of structured strength training. It’s a powerful tool in the fight against aging and muscle loss.
· Certified Personal Trainer: I use real-life-tested training methods to build customized programs for individuals at any fitness level, with a special focus on those in midlife and beyond.
· Accredited Sports Nutritionist: Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. My goal is to simplify it and make healthy eating a sustainable, energizing part of your daily life.
